  • The side effects of experiencing any type of trauma can lead to some of the most debilitating mental disorders. In fact, trauma and its counterparts post-traumatic stress disorder and operational stress injury can be triggered by a variety of sources and can create severe mental, emotional stress and physical injury.

Did you know that by the time Canadians reach 40 years of age, 1 in 2 have – or have had – a mental illness. You are not alone. Today, there are many treatments which can support healing and wellbeing which support not just “living with mental illness” but a life where you can thrive as you were always meant to. Our wellbeing and stability are inextricably linked to our contentment and joy in day to day life. Without a stable foundation, it can be difficult to achieve when facing adversity in life. Cedars’ programming will help you find your stability and balance - allowing you to be the most authentic version of yourself.

Many individuals who suffer from these disorders put off receiving help for too long. Often it’s simply the fear of the stigma surrounding mental illness, especially for individuals in professional service roles, which prevents seeking treatment. At Cedars, we aim to remove the stigma attached to mental illness and addiction, break down the barriers for those seeking help and help lay the framework for recovery.

  • Our recovery professionals share a belief in treating the whole person. Our programing is designed to support individuals through a multidisciplinary approach allowing for us to nurture and heal your body, mind and spirit.
