An Islander from her very beginning, Melissa loves few things more than spending her time roaming through the tall trees and ferns of our coastal rainforest, or wandering the sandy beaches looking for interesting rocks and shells. After spending almost a decade on the mainland in a career aimed at regulating and improving the medical profession, Melissa returned to Vancouver Island and quickly went back to school to pursue her dream of becoming a clinical counsellor. Melissa started at Cedars as a practicum student in October 2023 and feels deeply grateful that she now gets to continue on as a part of the Cedars clinical team.

In her free time Melissa loves going for bike rides, baking, gardening, camping, and spending as much time as she can with her husband, 3 kids, and goofy dog Indiana Bones.
