Karen was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She moved to the island 12 years ago in order to be closer to friends and family. Karen’s passion for spirituality drove her through completing a BA in Theology as well as some post grad work in Divinity. Karen was drawn to the Cedars community by its strong and amicable leadership team. 

Karen brings infectious laughter and a wonderful sense of humour to the Cedars campus as well enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for helping people “find what they need to live well.” In the future, Karen would like to increase the prominence of spiritual health within the treatment process and continue to work with her friends. When she’s not at work, Karen enjoys flying her many stunt kites, photography, and road trips. Karen is also a Commonwealth Games silver medal winner in Judo!
