Jodi Strom
Counsellor
Raised on Katzie unceded territory in in the lower mainland, Jodi is grateful for 20 years as a military spouse that involved seeing many areas of Canada and created many great friendships. The family settled on Quw’ utsun territory and Jodi began work at Cedars in 2006 as a yoga teacher and moved through many different roles, including staff supervision, indigenous liaison, art therapist and counsellor. After a few years away, attending further education and in private practice, she has returned to Cedars as a part time registered clinical counsellor and art therapist. She is passionate about the power of expressive and experiential therapies to heal trauma and support recovery, and has recently trained in A.R.T.
Jodi and family enjoy life on a farm on the Koksilah River and when not making art or getting lost in a forest, one of her favorite activities is driving the tractor. She maintains a studio and art practice as a form of self-care and loves to share about the power of the blind scribble.
