Jillian was born and raised in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. At 22 years old, she welcomed her only child into the world and shortly thereafter completed her certification in Cosmetology.  In 2021, she decided to go back to post-secondary and completed her certification Mental Health and Addictions support work at Vancouver Island University. Recently, she has graduated with her Diploma in social service and is currently pursuing her degree in social work. Jillian has always had a passion to work with others and has found it to be a transformative journey enriching her life while nurturing personal growth.

Although being a fulltime parent, student and support worker may seem taxing, she still manages to find the time to explore all the natural wonders the island has to offer. For her, this creates a holistic balance in her physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
